Exploring
MALLORCA

WHERE to STAY

While there are plenty of hotels and Airbnb options to suit all budgets, we recommend booking as early as possible,

as availability near the venue is limited and the island is busy year-round. While both options are great,

we suggest choosing a hotel for added comforts like breakfast and concierge services to assist with transport and reservations.

For ease of logistics and access to wedding day transfers,

we recommend staying in or around Santanyí, Port de Santanyí,

Es Cap des Moro, Sa Teulera, Porto Petro, or Barca Trencada.

Once
YOU'RE HERE

We’re excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you.

We highly recommend exploring on your own as well for some more activities.

There are so many experiences to choose from - boating, cooking, wineries, history and more!

GETTING AROUND

The easiest way to reach Santanyí is from Palma de Mallorca Airport

(approx. 45–50 minutes by car).

Car rental is the most convenient option, taxis are available at the airport but should be booked in advance for return journeys.

There are limited bus connections, though less practical for exploring the area.

TRANSFERS

For the wedding day, transportation will be arranged from selected central pick-up points.

We recommend staying in or around Santanyí, Port de Santanyí, Cala Figuera, Porto Petro, or nearby areas to easily access the transfers.

When booking, we suggest staying within a 20-minute drive of Santanyí, as traffic on the island can be unpredictable.

More details and timings will be shared closer to the date.

A few more notes to make your stay seamless and enjoyable:

ACTIVITIES

BOAT DAY FROM PORTO PETRO

One of the most magical ways to experience Mallorca is from the water. Setting off from Porto Petro, you’ll glide along a coastline of hidden coves, turquoise inlets, and untouched beaches only accessible by boat. The rhythm of the sea, the stillness of the cliffs, and the freedom of discovering quiet corners make this an unforgettable day, equal parts adventure and deep relaxation.

HORSEBACK RIDING THROUGH THE COUNTRYSIDE

There’s something incredibly special about seeing the island on horseback. Moving slowly through open landscapes, olive groves, and coastal paths, you experience Mallorca in its most raw and peaceful form. It’s quiet, grounding, and almost cinematic, like stepping into a softer, more timeless version of the island.

WINE TASTING

Tucked away among rolling fields and sun-drenched vineyards, Mallorca’s wineries offer a beautifully intimate experience. Long tables, local wines, and views that stretch endlessly into the countryside, it’s less about tasting and more about slowing down, connecting, and savoring the moment. Perfect for a relaxed afternoon that gently turns into evening.

HIDDEN GEMS

and CULTURE

FUNDACIÓ PILAR I JOAN MIRÓ (PALMA)

A rare opportunity to step directly into the creative universe of Joan Miró. This is not just a museum, but the actual studios where he worked, preserved exactly as he left them. Surrounded by gardens and light, it feels intimate, raw, and incredibly inspiring.

ES BALUARD & OLD TOWN (PALMA)

Pair contemporary art with a wander through Palma’s old town. After visiting Es Baluard Museu d’Art Contemporani de Palma, get lost in the surrounding streets: golden stone, hidden courtyards, and quiet galleries tucked behind heavy wooden doors.

CUEVAS DEL DRACH (PORTO CRISTO)

A more surreal experience: vast underground caves with one of the largest subterranean lakes in the world. Classical music concerts are held inside, creating a truly otherworldly atmosphere.
